1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using PartTimeOK ("the Site", "we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not access or use the Site.

These Terms apply to all visitors, job seekers, and employers who access or use the Site in any way.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use this Site. By using the Site, you represent and warrant that you are 18 years of age or older. If you are under 18, you are not permitted to use the Site and must exit immediately.

Employers posting jobs must be authorized to hire on behalf of the organization they represent and must be hiring for positions based in the United States.

3. What We Are

PartTimeOK is a part-time job listing platform that:

  • Aggregates job listings automatically from third-party ATS platforms and job data providers
  • Allows employers to post part-time job listings directly on the Site

We are not a recruiter, staffing agency, or employer. We do not participate in any hiring decision, interview process, or employment relationship between employers and job seekers.

4. Aggregated Third-Party Listings

A portion of listings on the Site are sourced automatically from third-party ATS platforms and job data providers. Regarding these listings:

  • We do not own, create, or verify the accuracy of third-party listings
  • Listings may be expired, duplicated, or contain errors
  • The original employer is solely responsible for the content of their listing
  • Clicking "Apply" on a third-party listing redirects you to the employer's own website or ATS platform — we are not responsible for any content, practices, or processes on those external sites
  • We make reasonable efforts to keep listings current but cannot guarantee real-time accuracy
  • Third-party listing data is sourced under the respective terms of each provider; we comply with all applicable attribution requirements

5. Employer Accounts

5.1 Account Creation

Employers must create an account to post job listings directly on the Site. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete account information
  • Keep your account credentials confidential
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account at [email protected]
  • Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5.2 Account Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for all listings posted under your account. One account may represent one organization. You may not create accounts on behalf of others without authorization.

6. Job Listing Requirements

By submitting any job listing — free or paid — you represent, warrant, and agree that:

  • You are authorized to post the role on behalf of the hiring organization
  • The listing describes a genuine, currently available part-time position
  • The position is based in the United States
  • The listing is accurate, complete, and not misleading
  • The listing complies with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws, including but not limited to anti-discrimination laws (Title VII, ADA, ADEA, and equivalents)
  • The listing complies with applicable pay transparency laws in the employer's jurisdiction, including states such as California, Colorado, New York, and Washington where salary range disclosure is required — compliance is solely the employer's responsibility
  • The listing does not contain discriminatory language based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other protected characteristic

6.1 Prohibited Listings

The following listing types are strictly prohibited and will be removed without refund:

  • Multi-level marketing (MLM) or pyramid scheme opportunities
  • Commission-only roles presented as employment
  • "Business opportunity" listings disguised as jobs
  • Work-from-home scams or data entry schemes promising unrealistic earnings
  • Listings requiring job seekers to pay any fee to apply or work
  • Listings soliciting personal financial information from applicants
  • Duplicate listings for the same role posted multiple times
  • Listings for positions that are not genuinely part-time in nature

We reserve the right to determine, at our sole discretion, whether a listing violates these requirements.

7. Listing Tiers and Pricing

7.1 Free Tier

  • One free listing per employer account at a time
  • Listing is live for 7 days from the date of publication
  • After 7 days, the listing is permanently deleted from the Site
  • Free listings are not eligible for featured placement
  • We reserve the right to limit, modify, or discontinue the free tier at any time with reasonable notice

7.2 Paid Listings

  • Paid listings are live for 30 days from the date of publication
  • Paid listings auto-renew for additional 30-day periods at the same rate unless cancelled
  • You may cancel auto-renewal at any time before the renewal date using the link provided in your confirmation email or by contacting us at [email protected]
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period — your listing remains live until that date
  • We will send a reminder email before each auto-renewal charge

7.3 Featured Listings

  • Featured listings are pinned to the top of relevant listing pages and visually highlighted for increased visibility
  • Featured placement is available as an add-on to a paid listing
  • Featured status applies for the duration of the active paid listing period
  • Featured placement is subject to availability and display order may vary based on the number of active featured listings

7.4 Pricing

Current pricing for each tier is displayed on the Site at the time of purchase. We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable advance notice. Price changes do not affect currently active paid listing periods.

8. Payments

All payments are processed securely by Stripe. By completing a purchase you authorize us to charge your payment method for the amount displayed at checkout.

  • All transactions are in US dollars (USD)
  • You agree to keep your billing information current and accurate
  • Sales tax will be applied where required by applicable law
  • You consent to receiving electronic receipts and invoices to the email address on your account
  • We do not store your full payment card details — all payment data is handled by Stripe in accordance with their terms and PCI-DSS standards

9. Refund Policy

Refunds are available under the following condition only:

  • You request a refund within 24 hours of completing payment, AND
  • Your listing has not yet been reviewed or published live on the Site

To request a refund under this policy, contact us at [email protected] within 24 hours of purchase with your order details.

No refunds are issued once a listing is live on the Site, except in the following circumstances:

  • We remove your listing in error (our mistake, not a policy violation)
  • A technical error on our platform resulted in a duplicate charge

Listings removed for violating Section 6 (prohibited listings) are not eligible for refunds under any circumstances.

For auto-renewed listings, refunds are not available for renewal charges if cancellation was not completed before the renewal date. It is your responsibility to manage auto-renewal settings.

10. Listing Moderation

We reserve the right to review, edit, delay publication of, or remove any listing at our sole discretion, including listings that:

  • Violate Section 6 of these Terms
  • Are reported by users as fraudulent, misleading, or inappropriate
  • Are determined by us to be harmful to job seekers or the integrity of the Site

We are not obligated to provide advance notice before removing a listing that violates these Terms. Removal of a violating listing does not entitle the employer to a refund.

11. Reporting Suspicious Listings

If you encounter a listing you believe is fraudulent, misleading, or in violation of these Terms, please report it to [email protected]. We review all reports and will remove confirmed violating listings promptly.

Warning signs of a fraudulent listing: requests for payment to apply, requests for bank account or Social Security information, promises of unusually high pay for minimal work, or vague descriptions with no identifiable employer.

12. No Employment Relationship

Use of the Site does not guarantee employment. Nothing on the Site constitutes an offer of employment. PartTimeOK is not involved in the hiring process and is not responsible for any employment decisions made by employers or any outcomes experienced by job seekers as a result of using the Site.

13. Email Communications

13.1 Job Alert Emails (Job Seekers)

By subscribing to job alert emails you consent to receive periodic emails matching your selected preferences. Every alert email includes a one-click unsubscribe link. You may unsubscribe at any time.

13.2 Transactional Emails (Employers)

By creating an employer account you consent to receive transactional emails related to your account and listings, including confirmation emails, invoices, auto-renewal reminders, and moderation notices. These emails are necessary for the operation of the service and cannot be opted out of while you maintain an active account or active listing.

13.3 No Sale of Email Addresses

We will not sell or share your email address with third parties for marketing purposes. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

14. Intellectual Property

14.1 Our Content

All original content on the Site — including design, copy, code, branding, and structure — is owned by PartTimeOK and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute our original content without express written permission.

14.2 Employer Content

By submitting a job listing, you grant PartTimeOK a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, and distribute your listing content on the Site and in email communications (such as job alert digests) for the duration of the listing's active period.

14.3 Third-Party Content

Job listing content sourced from third-party ATS platforms and data providers remains the property of the respective employer or source platform. We display such content under the terms of each respective data provider agreement.

14.4 No Scraping

You may not scrape, crawl, bulk-download, or otherwise extract listing data from the Site by automated means without our express written permission. Unauthorized data extraction may result in legal action.

15. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the Site if you are under 18 years of age
  • Post listings for positions outside the United States
  • Submit false, fraudulent, or misleading information
  • Use the Site to collect personal data from job seekers for purposes other than filling a genuine posted role
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, or interfere with the Site's systems or infrastructure
  • Use automated tools to access the Site without permission
  • Circumvent any access controls or security measures on the Site
  • Use the Site in any manner that violates applicable federal, state, or local law

16. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site and all content are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted or error-free, that listings will be accurate, current, or complete, or that the Site is free of harmful components. Use of the Site is at your sole risk.

17. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PartTimeOK and its owners, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from: your use of or inability to use the Site; reliance on the accuracy or completeness of any listing; any employment outcome or hiring decision; unauthorized access to or alteration of your account; any third-party content or websites linked from the Site.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Site shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 30 days preceding the claim.

18. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless PartTimeOK and its owners, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

  • Your use of the Site
  • Any listing you submit
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any applicable law or third-party right

19. Third-Party Links and Services

The Site links to external employer websites, ATS platforms, and other third-party services. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, availability, or reliability of any third-party website or service. Accessing third-party links is at your own risk.

Our payment processing is handled by Stripe. Your use of Stripe's services is subject to Stripe's own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

20. Privacy

Our collection, use, and protection of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into and forms part of these Terms. By using the Site you agree to our Privacy Policy.

21. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. When we make material changes we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes we will make reasonable efforts to notify active employer accounts via email.

Your continued use of the Site after updated Terms are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

22. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Site at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we determine violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

Upon termination:

  • Active paid listings will be removed from the Site
  • No refunds will be issued for remaining listing time, except where termination was made in error on our part
  • Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including Sections 14, 16, 17, and 18

23. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Site shall first be attempted to be resolved informally by contacting us at [email protected]. If informal resolution is not achieved within 30 days, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in New York in accordance with the American Arbitration Association rules, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction for intellectual property violations.

You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.

24. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

25. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and PartTimeOK regarding your use of the Site and supersede all prior agreements.
