1. Overview
PartTimeOK ("we", "us", "our") operates partimeok.com (the "Site"), a part-time job listing platform. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.
This Site is intended for use by United States residents. By using the Site, you confirm you are located in the United States.
We collect minimal personal data and do not sell your personal information to third parties.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Job Seekers (No Account Required)
If you are a job seeker browsing the Site without an account, the only personal information we collect is:
Email address — collected only if you voluntarily subscribe to job alert emails. This is optional. You can browse and apply to jobs without providing any personal information.
We do not collect your name, location, resume, or any other personal data unless you choose to provide it.
2.2 Employers (Account Required to Post)
If you create an employer account, we collect:
- Name — your name as account holder
- Email address — used for account access, listing confirmations, invoices, and auto-renewal reminders
- Company name — displayed on your job listings
- Billing information — processed and stored by Stripe. We do not store your full payment card details on our servers. See Section 5.
2.3 Automatically Collected Data
When you visit the Site, we receive standard network-level data through Cloudflare, our network infrastructure provider. This includes:
- Approximate geographic region (country/state level)
- Browser type and operating system
- Pages visited and time spent
- Referring URL
This data is aggregated and anonymized by Cloudflare before we access it. We cannot identify individual visitors from this data.
We also use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use the Site. GA4 collects information such as pages visited, session duration, device type, browser, approximate geographic location, and referring URL. This data is sent to Google and is subject to Google's privacy policy. GA4 sets cookies (described in Section 2.4) on your browser to distinguish visitors and sessions.
2.4 Cookies
Analytics Cookies (All Visitors)
Google Analytics sets the following cookies on your browser when you visit the Site:
- _ga — distinguishes unique visitors; expires after 2 years
- _ga_[ID] — stores session state; expires after 2 years
These cookies do not contain personally identifiable information. They are used solely for site analytics.
Session Cookie (Employer Accounts Only)
If you log into an employer account, we set a session cookie to keep you logged in during your visit. This cookie:
- Contains no personal information
- Expires when you close your browser or log out
- Is strictly necessary for account functionality
- Is not used for tracking or advertising
2.5 Information We Do Not Collect
We want to be clear about what we do not collect:
- We do not collect job application data — clicking "Apply" redirects you to the employer's own website. Any information you provide during an application goes directly to the employer, not to us.
- We do not collect Social Security numbers, government IDs, or financial account information
- We do not collect demographic data (race, ethnicity, gender, age, disability status) unless voluntarily provided in direct communications with us
- We do not track your behavior across other websites
- We do not use advertising cookies. We do not use retargeting pixels or behavioral advertising.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect only for the following purposes:

4. Email Communications
4.1 Job Alert Emails (Job Seekers)
If you subscribe to job alerts, we will send you periodic emails containing part-time job listings matching your preferences.
- Every alert email includes a one-click unsubscribe link
- You can unsubscribe at any time with no consequences
- After unsubscribing, we will delete your email address from our alerts list within 10 business days
- We send job alert emails through Resend (resend.com), our email delivery provider. Your email address is shared with Resend solely for the purpose of delivering these emails.
4.2 Transactional Emails (Employers)
If you have an employer account, we send transactional emails necessary to operate the service, including:
- Account confirmation
- Listing confirmation and invoice
- Auto-renewal reminders (sent before each renewal charge)
- Moderation notices if a listing is reviewed or removed
These emails are sent through Resend and cannot be opted out of while you maintain an active account or active listing, as they are necessary for the operation of the service.
4.3 No Marketing Emails
We do not send unsolicited marketing emails. We do not share your email address with third parties for marketing purposes.
5. Third-Party Service Providers
We share limited personal data with the following third-party service providers solely to operate the Site:
Stripe (Payment Processing)
Employer billing information is processed by Stripe, Inc. When you complete a payment, your card details are entered directly into Stripe's secure payment interface and are never transmitted to or stored on our servers. Stripe stores and processes your payment information in accordance with PCI-DSS standards.

Resend (Email Delivery)
Job seeker email addresses (for alert subscribers) and employer email addresses are processed by Resend to deliver emails on our behalf. Resend does not use your email address for any purpose other than delivering emails we send.

Google Analytics (Site Analytics)
We use Google Analytics 4 to analyze how visitors use the Site. Google Analytics collects usage data including pages visited, session duration, device and browser type, approximate location, and referral source. This data is processed by Google and subject to Google's privacy policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Cloudflare (Network Infrastructure)
The Site is served through Cloudflare's network. Cloudflare processes network-level data including IP addresses to provide performance, security, and analytics services. This data is anonymized and aggregated before we access it.

We do not share your personal information with any other third parties, and we do not sell your personal information to anyone.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal information only as long as necessary:

When we delete your data, we remove it from our active databases. Residual copies in backups are purged on our regular backup rotation schedule (typically within 30 days).
7. Your Rights (US Residents)
7.1 All US Residents
Regardless of your state, you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Correction — request that we correct inaccurate personal information
- Deletion — request that we delete your personal information, subject to legal retention requirements (e.g. billing records)
- Unsubscribe — opt out of job alert emails at any time via the unsubscribe link in any alert email
7.2 California Residents (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):
- Right to Know — you may request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources of that information, our business purpose for collecting it, and the categories of third parties we share it with
- Right to Delete — you may request deletion of personal information we have collected, subject to certain exceptions
- Right to Non-Discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights
- Right to Opt-Out of Sale — we do not sell personal information. You do not need to opt out.

8. Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including:
- HTTPS encryption on all Site traffic
- Secure, access-controlled databases
- Payment data handled entirely by Stripe (PCI-DSS compliant)
- Minimal data collection — we can't lose data we don't have

9. Children's Privacy
This Site is intended for users 18 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a person under 18, we will delete it promptly. 10. Links to Third-Party Sites
When you click "Apply" on a job listing, you are redirected to the employer's own website or ATS platform. These third-party sites have their own privacy policies, which we do not control and are not responsible for. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any site you visit before providing personal information.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes affecting how we handle employer account data, we will notify active employer accounts by email.
Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
