US Cargo, a subsidiary of PITT OHIO, is a family\u2011oriented transportation company serving customers throughout Ohio and Pennsylvania. We are seeking motivated individuals to join our team as a Part Time Dockworker at our Cincinnati, OH terminal.

 

Known for our success in the courier and small package industry, US Cargo is expanding our capabilities to include LTL freight while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, service, and our employees.

Responsibilities

\u2022 Sort and distribute boxes, bags, envelopes, cartons and other goods on trucks, or in the designated sort area of the terminal. Freight may be palletized.\u2022 Reads tracking label, manifest, bill of lading or other shipping document to determine the correct placement of the freight.\u2022 Scan all inbound and/or outbound freight.\u2022 Load/unload freight on and off trucks using a forklift, or by hand using a hand truck or pallet jack.\u2022 Secure the safety of the freight to prevent loss or damage.\u2022 Work in a safe manner so as to reduce personal risk of injury and risk to fellow employees. Report any injuries, accidents or safety hazards, whether personal or property, immediately.\u2022 May count, weigh and/or record number of pieces.\u2022 Forklift training and certification will be provided by the company, if applicable to the job.

Qualifications

\u2022 Must be 17 years of age or older.\u2022 Must consent to a pre-employment drug screen. US Cargo must receive a negative result.\u2022 Complete employment application and interview.\u2022 Pass criminal background check.\u2022 Must have the ability to read and write the English language.\u2022 Must demonstrate stable work history, good work ethic, dependability, and a positive, supportive and cooperative attitude.\u2022 Must meet physical job demands; ability to push, pull, lift, carry up to 70 lbs. occasionally, and repetitively lift 20 to 30 lbs. Also, standing, walking, twisting, bending, reaching above and below waist level will be required.
