About Our Family
We are a warm, active family of 5 looking for a proactive House Manager to help bring organization, consistency, and calm to our home during an exciting new chapter. As we settle into a new home and establish new routines, we're looking for someone who takes pride in keeping a busy household running smoothly, maintaining organized systems, anticipating needs, and helping our family spend less time managing logistics and more time enjoying life together.
Our household is fast-paced, energetic, and filled with lots of moving pieces. Between demanding work schedules, busy family calendars, and three active preteen children, no two weeks look exactly the same. We value teamwork, open communication, and people who genuinely enjoy creating order behind the scenes. While flexibility is important, we also appreciate someone who can bring consistency, think ahead, and help ensure the details don't fall through the cracks.
This role is much more than managing a checklist. We're looking for a long-term partner who will become a trusted part of our household by helping maintain the systems that keep our home running efficiently. You'll work alongside our au pair, who will primarily focus on childcare, while you oversee the day-to-day household operations, creating the continuity and organization that allow our family to spend more time together and less time managing logistics.
Who You Are / What We're Looking For
You are an experienced House Manager who genuinely enjoys bringing order to busy households and takes pride in helping families feel supported. You have a strong project manager mindset. You are naturally organized, detail oriented, and proactive, and you tend to notice what needs attention before anyone has to point it out. When you walk into a home, you quickly understand what needs to be done and feel comfortable taking ownership to get it handled from start to finish.
Rather than waiting for direction, you take initiative and keep things moving with calm confidence, creating simple systems and finding ways to make daily life easier and more efficient. You are skilled at managing multiple priorities at once whether that is coordinating vendors, keeping calendars organized, overseeing household logistics, or making sure important details do not get overlooked.
You thrive in active, fast moving households where plans can shift and priorities can change. In those moments, you stay grounded and flexible, adjusting with ease while keeping everything on track. Families can rely on your steady presence, clear communication, and ability to quietly keep things running smoothly in the background. You bring ideas, anticipate needs, and take pride in making sure things are handled well and thoughtfully, with a consistent focus on strong follow through and execution.
At your core, you care deeply about creating order and ease in a home. While you may occasionally step in with backup support for the children, your real strength is in ownership and execution. You take satisfaction in knowing that your work helps a family feel more organized, supported, and able to focus on what matters most.
