Position Summary
As an Activity Leader, you will help create a safe, engaging, and enriching environment for elementary-aged students (Grades K–5). You will work alongside certified teachers and site leadership to support academic learning, physical fitness, social-emotional development, and recreational activities while ensuring every child feels welcomed, supported, and successful.
What You'll Do
- Prepare lesson materials, learning centers, bulletin boards, and activity supplies.
- Lead engaging physical fitness, recreation, and wellness activities.
- Support homework assistance and academic enrichment.
- Reinforce social-emotional learning through daily interactions and activities.
- Supervise students during indoor and outdoor activities while maintaining a safe environment.
- Assist with snack distribution, transitions, arrival, dismissal, and site operations.
- Encourage positive behavior while building respectful relationships with students.
- Follow daily schedules and support STEM, literacy, arts, and enrichment programming.
- Work collaboratively with site staff to create a fun, structured, and positive learning environment.
- Communicate professionally with families and site leadership.
- Participate in required staff meetings and professional development.
- Follow all Big Ideas policies, safety procedures, and chain of command.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Childcare or youth development experience preferred (1–2 years).
- Ability to successfully complete Florida Level II Background Screening.
- Ability to complete the required 40-hour Introductory Child Care Training (if applicable).
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to supervise children in both indoor and outdoor environments.
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
