Job Summary
The Cook II efficiently prepares and serves meals for daily service and catered events according to menu and recipe guidelines. This role follows kitchen opening and closing procedures adhering to local health department requirements. This role must adhere to a professional and courteous demeanor with the ability to interact with guests on a regular basis.
Essential Functions
Description
- Prepares meal ingredients, including washing, peeling, cutting, and assembling food items.
- Receives orders from kitchen point of sale. Understands operation of the point-of-sale system.
- Executes meal preparation according to recipe standards and dietary restrictions.
- Provides accurate meal descriptions to guests with continued knowledge of menu.
- Adheres to proper food handling, sanitation, safety, and personal hygiene and health standards.
- Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, equipment, and food storage.
- Maintains food pars and communicates production needs to the manager/chef on duty.
- Reports necessary equipment repair and maintenance to kitchen manager.
- Maintains flexibility in position and task to ensure success within varying service styles.

Qualifications
- Oregon Food Handler's card required.
- One (1) year culinary experience required.
Any equivalent combination of experience and education which clearly indicates the ability to perform the essential functions of the position may substitute on a year for year basis.

- Working knowledge of kitchen and food safety.
- Strong knife skills.
- Ability to work quickly and effectively with others.
- Strong communication skills.
- Treats all team members with respect and courtesy.
- Strong customer focus.
- Ability and willingness to shift into any kitchen position when needed.

Base Salary: $21.50 - $22.50 per hour
This range represents the low and high ends of this position's anticipated base salary range. The actual base salary will depend on numerous factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, and location.
