The Social Media Account Executive will work with the various departments to plan and develop content shoots (video for reels) and photography (carousels); plan and schedule a monthly content calendar and monitor Sea Life Park’s social media presence across digital platforms. This role will be hands-on, working to grow engagement, maintain brand voice, and support marketing campaigns aligned with visitor growth, awareness, and conservation education goals.We are currently looking for a:
Social Media Account Executive - Part Time
Roles & Responsibilities:
Responsibilities
Develop and execute social media strategies and content calendars across platforms (leading with Instagram and Facebook; TikTok and YouTube, etc.) to raise brand awareness and drive engagement.
Create, write, and schedule engaging content (posts, images, videos, stories, reels) that reflects Sea Life Park’s brand, mission and values.
Manage online brand presence: monitor mentions, reviews, tags; respond to comments/messages in a timely, professional, on-brand manner.
Collaborate with creative/design teams (including photography/videography) to produce visuals and video content.
Partner with the marketing team to integrate social media with broader marketing campaigns (promotions, events, seasonal offers, conservation programs).
Analyze engagement metrics (reach, impressions, shares, clicks, etc.), monitor trends, and prepare regular reports to inform strategy and identify opportunities for optimization.
Stay up-to-date with social media best practices, new platform features, algorithm changes, and content trends relevant to Sea Life Park’s audience.
Suggest and test new tactics (e.g. user-generated content, influencer or community partnerships) to grow reach and engagement.

Qualifications & Skills
Proficient in photography and videography.
Proficient in photography and videography editing for social media clips.
Own photography and videography equipment preferred, but not required.
1-3 years of experience in photography, videography and/or posting to social media platforms and working with digital media.
Strong written communication skills; ability to capture Sea Life Park’s brand voice.
Proficiency with social media platforms and scheduling / listening / analytics tools (e.g. Facebook/Meta Insights, Instagram Insights, Sprout Social etc.).
Basic understanding of paid social media advertising: how to set up campaigns, monitor budgets, track ROI.
Creative mindset, with ability to generate content ideas and adapt to trend dynamics.
Strong attention to detail, good organizational skills, ability to manage multiple deliverables with deadlines.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Passion for marine life, conservation, education or hospitality and tourism a plus.
