About Our Family

We are an active, growing family based in Portland with two energetic young boys. Our family values health, time outdoors, family adventures, and creating a home environment that feels organized, functional, and supportive of our full everyday lives.

One parent works from home, while the other manages the home full-time, and we currently have an au pair as well as biweekly housecleaners. With several layers of support already in place, we are looking for an experienced Household Manager who can step in as a trusted partner and help us stay ahead of the many ongoing details that come with managing our household and property.

Our goal is to create more ease and breathing room so we can focus on being healthy, present parents. We are looking for a long-term professional who takes pride in creating structure, order, and reliable systems behind the scenes.

Who You Are / What We're Looking For

You are an experienced household professional who is confident stepping into a family home and bringing greater structure, consistency, and ease. You are highly self-managed, resourceful, and comfortable taking ownership of projects from start to finish without needing frequent direction. You naturally notice what needs attention, think ahead, and know how to balance urgency, quality, and budget when managing household needs.

You are able to thoughtfully plan, systemize, and execute household needs with a high level of independence. From managing vendors and seasonal maintenance to keeping home systems organized, we value someone who is proactive, resourceful, budget-conscious, and able to take projects from start to finish without requiring frequent oversight. The ideal person enjoys being around kids, can step in smoothly when needed, but understands the core role is home operations.

A positive presence, you understand how to work thoughtfully within a private environment. You are organized, dependable, and comfortable collaborating with parents, an au pair, cleaners, landscapers, contractors, and other service providers. You enjoy creating practical systems, solving problems, and helping a household operate more smoothly behind the scenes. Most importantly, you are seeking a long-term role where you can become a trusted and reliable partner to the family.
