About Our Family

We are a busy, high-energy household in Plymouth, MN with three kids in elementary school and a full and fast-moving rhythm to our days. Our home is also a place of work: one parent runs a business and regularly works from the house, which means the home needs to run like a well-oiled machine even when the workday is happening right alongside it. The other parent is a professional athlete with a travel-heavy schedule, which means our primary parent is frequently managing everything solo and at full speed.

We are active, organized by nature, faith-oriented, and we keep a respectful, health-forward home. Our kids are involved in sports most evenings and weekends. We host regularly, travel for work and family, and move through seasons, schedules, and logistics quickly. We are looking for someone to own the home: to see what needs doing, handle it, and keep everything running smoothly so we can be fully present with our family when it matters most.

Who You Are / What We're Looking For

You are highly organized, proactive, and self-directed. You do not wait for a to-do list. You see the laundry pile and start it. You notice the pantry is getting low and handle it. You bring ideas instead of questions. You are fast-moving and high-energy, comfortable working in a home that has a lot happening at once, and you communicate clearly and efficiently without needing a lot of hand-holding.

You respect the values of the household, keep things professional, and understand that discretion matters here. You ask smart questions when you need to, but you figure things out independently and come back with solutions. You are warm, reliable, and genuinely invested in making this family's life run better. If you’ve got experience in household management or as a nanny with strong organizational instincts, we’d love to meet you.

Key Responsibilities

Household Organization & Maintenance

  • Own deep organization projects: closets, pantry, fridge, bathroom cabinets, kids' rooms, mudroom, sports gear storage
  • Conduct seasonal clothing transitions for kids
  • Prepare home for bi-weekly cleaners
  • Light daily tidying: counters, dishes, surfaces, etc.
  • Indoor plant care
  • Sort, manage, and put away mail and packages; handle returns

Inventory & Errands

  • Manage household supply inventory; restock pantry, fridge, and household essentials
  • Place grocery and household orders
  • Handle ad hoc errands: dry cleaning, gift shopping, donation drop-offs
  • Coordinate and track birthday gifts for kids' social events; proactively check the family calendar for upcoming events and prep accordingly

Meal Support

  • Batch cooking and healthy meal prep: ground proteins, grains, pulled pork or carnitas, chopped vegetables, washed fruit, and occasional baking (banana bread, muffins)
  • Prepare one cooked meal per week, plus leftovers
  • Prep snacks and meals for work travel and family trips
  • Follow family recipes and meal planning system

Laundry & Linens

  • Manage all family laundry: wash, fold, and put laundry away (kids will put theirs away)
  • Maintain linen rotation (bedding, towels) in coordination with the cleaning service
  • Handle ironing, steaming, and special garment care as needed

Vehicle Upkeep

  • Schedule occasional oil changes and routine maintenance for the family vehicle
  • Take the family vehicle for monthly or bi-monthly wash and detail service

Family Support

  • Provide occasional backup childcare for date nights, solo-parenting evenings, and overnight coverage during travel
  • Assist with school drop-off and pick-up as needed during heavy travel periods
  • Support kids' activity logistics: driving to sports, ensure gear is stocked for the season
  • Maintain visibility into the family's personal calendar to anticipate upcoming needs (events, hosting, travel prep, gifts)

Deep Cleaning & Special Projects

  • Seasonal mudroom and entry refresh; garage and storage organization
  • Periodic deep-clean of closets, bathroom storage, and toy/sports gear areas
  • Guest room prep when visitors are coming
  • Assist with holiday and hosting support
  • Packing support for travel, including outfit prep and maintaining packing lists

Vendor & Property Oversight

  • Serve as on-site point of contact for vendors (window washing, furniture delivery, repairs)
  • Research, schedule, and coordinate one-off vendor projects
  • Occasional supply runs or drop-offs to secondary properties as needed
