Responsibilities

Essential Duties:\u2022 Manual labor tasks such as loading, unloading, lifting and moving materials\u2022 Sandblasting, cleaning and painting wheels\u2022 Washing and detailing trucks\u2022 General shop housekeeping duties such as sweeping, emptying garbage\u2022 Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned

Other Duties:\u2022 Assist mechanics with retrieving necessary parts and tool\u2022 Enter labor lines and parts into repair order computer system

Qualifications

Qualifications:\u2022 Must be able to communicate effectively with supervision and co-workers\u2022 Knowledge of basic hand tools required\u2022 Ability to learn and follow established safety guidelines\u2022 Ability to solve minor problems and make decisions in absence of management is necessary\u2022 Interpersonal and communication skills are required. Must be able to communicate effectively with outside terminals, vendors and customers\u2022 Must pass DOT physical and drug screen;

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:\u2022 Physical Demands \u2013 standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, balancing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, crouching, reaching, handling, speaking, hearing and seeing\u2022 Frequent movement and non-sedentary work required \u2013 may be required daily to exert up to 50 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects including the human body in a sustained motion; walking is frequently required for sustained periods of time \u2022 Must work in extreme weather conditions\u2022 Must tolerate legally permissible exposure to dust and chemicals from sandblasting and painting with proper personal protective equipment
