SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
The Barback is responsible for supporting bar operations by ensuring all bars remain stocked, organized, clean, and operating efficiently. This position assists bartenders by replenishing supplies, preparing workstations, maintaining sanitation standards, and delivering exceptional guest service. The Barback plays a vital role in creating a positive guest experience while supporting the overall success of Food & Beverage operations.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Practices, supports, and maintains the Mission, Vision, and Values of WarHorse Gaming Omaha, LLC.
- Stocks and replenishes liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, glassware, and other bar supplies throughout assigned shifts.
- Sets up bar areas prior to opening, including stocking ice, preparing garnishes, and ensuring adequate inventory levels.
- Assists bartenders by responding promptly to restocking and operational needs.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of bars, storage areas, coolers, and service stations.
- Removes trash, recyclables, and empty containers from bar areas.
- Delivers supplies and products to designated locations throughout the property.
- Ensures compliance with health department regulations, sanitation standards, and company policies.
- Provides friendly, professional, and courteous service to guests and team members.
- Maintains knowledge of responsible alcohol service practices and complies with all liquor laws and regulations.
- Attends departmental meetings and training sessions as required.
- Maintains a professional appearance in accordance with company grooming standards.
- Complies with all department and company policies, procedures, internal controls, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Nebraska Gaming License.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Comfortable using mobile devices, tablets, and touch-screen technology.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous customer service, restaurant, barback, or hospitality experience.
- ServSafe Food Handler Certification.
- Alcohol Awareness or TIPS Certification.

WORK SCHEDULE
Due to the nature of the hospitality and entertainment industry, team members must be available to work flexible schedules, including days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events as business needs require.
CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSING
- Nebraska Gaming License (or ability to obtain and maintain)
- ServSafe Food Handler Certification (preferred)
- TIPS or Alcohol Awareness Certification (preferred)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and repetitive hand movements. Team members must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment for extended periods. The position may involve exposure to loud noise levels, work safety hazards, and conditions typical of a casino and food & beverage environment.
