Share your recovery journey for the benefit of others and experience the satisfaction of helping to facilitate self-directed recovery. The Recovery Support Technician provides recovery-focused, trauma-informed support to individuals receiving residential and crisis services. This role empowers clients to build hope, wellness, and independence while supporting a safe, welcoming, and therapeutic environment.
This part-time position is based in Maryville, IL, with evening, overnight, and weekend shifts available and eligible for shift pay differentials.

Recovery-Focused Support\u2022 Empower clients through recovery-focused, trauma-informed care emphasizing hope, respect, wellness, and self-advocacy, including use of tools such as WRAP\u2022 Model professionalism, positivity, and personal responsibility while supporting clients in becoming active participants in their recovery\u2022 Deliver individualized, goal-directed services in alignment with treatment and safety plans, maintaining at least 65% direct client service time\u2022 Assist clients in connecting with natural supports, internal programs, and community resources to promote independence and stability
Coordination & Communication\u2022 Maintain positive, professional relationships with hospitals, medical providers, Medicaid partners, and other community stakeholders\u2022 Participate in staff meetings, program development activities, and required supervision and trainings\u2022 Provide backup support to team members as needed to ensure continuity of care\u2022 Support a safe, clean, and welcoming environment, including answering phones, managing mail, monitoring safety systems, and providing basic first aid when necessary
Documentation & Standards\u2022 Complete accurate and timely documentation and data entry in the electronic medical record, with a goal of 80% completion within 48 hours of service\u2022 Uphold Chestnut\u2019s behavioral standards for customer service excellence\u2022 Maintain strict confidentiality and security of all organizational and client information\u2022 Perform other duties as assigned to support program and agency goals

Qualifications
\u2022 Must be at least 21 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent.\u2022 Demonstrated skills in human services and experience working with adults in related services.\u2022 Ability to work constructively within an organizational structure and accept supervision.\u2022 Personal recovery experience and willingness to appropriately discuss one\u2019s own recovery journey.\u2022 Valid driver\u2019s license, private automobile insurance, and insurability (when applicable).\u2022 Basic computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and electronic medical records (EMR).

CompensationThe anticipated starting pay for new hires for this position is $17.00 \u2013 $22.00 per hour, with shift differentials available. Compensation is based on job-related qualifications, skills, education, experience, local market conditions, and internal equity.
