Overview

Instructors\u2019 primary responsibilities are to provide active and effective learning for students in all applicable educational settings, act as professional and academic role models and commit to student satisfaction. This includes; teaching in classrooms, labs, clinical and online settings as well as outside the classroom during campus and student activities. Responsibilities

INSTRUCTIONAL DUTIES\u2022 Instruct classes as assigned\u2022 Prepare for classes by organizing and becoming familiar with student material\u2022 Prepare lesson plans and course material as required\u2022 Objectively assess students for academic performance\u2022 Effectively organize and present subject matter to students\u2022 Effectively utilize instructional plans provided\u2022 Supplement approved student material as required\u2022 Ensure security of assessment tools and confidential documentation\u2022 Effectively utilize and monitor the learning management systems\u2022 Ensure classes are conducted for the required length of timeSTUDENT INTERACTION\u2022 Maintain a classroom environment conducive to learning\u2022 Set the example and be the role model for professionalism and conduct\u2022 Provide regular and constructive feedback, through approved channels, to students regarding academic performance, grades, professionalism, conduct, attendance and other topics as necessary\u2022 Proactively inform Program Director of any student attendance, academic, or behavioral concerns for retention management\u2022 Appropriately maintain student records, grades, and attendance to ensure accuracy\u2022 Ensure compliance with the published attendance policy including recording and posting daily

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION\u2022 RRT Credential\u2022 Minimum four years of experience in Respiratory Therapy\u2022 Associate degree required\u2022 Current state license or certificate\u2022 Must meet all regulatory and corporate qualifications\u2022 Prior teaching experience preferred
