Project Title: Active play in public parks: A pilot randomized controlled trial of an obstacle relay programme to enhance well-being and motor skills in underprivileged young children
[Appointment Period: around 12 months]
The appointee will be involved in research projects related to children's physical activity and health. He/She will be expected to work in both outdoor field settings and the research office at Queen Mary Hospital or Hong Kong Children's Hospital. Occasional weekend work may be required. Responsibilities include participant recruitment, data collection, data entry and analysis, filing of documents, and other duties as assigned. The appointment will commence as soon as possible, with the potential for extension to a full-time role contingent upon satisfactory performance and the availability of funding.
Applicants should have at least Level 2 or equivalent or above in five subjects, including Chinese Language, English Language, and Mathematics in HKDSE; or Grade E (Level 2) or above in five subjects, including Chinese, English (Syllabus B), and Mathematics in HKCEE or equivalent. Applicants with a Bachelor's degree or above in health and physical education, food and nutritional sciences, early childhood education, or a related discipline, or be final-year undergraduate students in one of these fields are preferred. They should have a good command of written and spoken Cantonese and be proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Strong organisational and communication skills are essential. The appointee should be detail-oriented, patient, empathetic, responsible, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
