Job Description:
The Speech Language Pathologist shall plan and implement specific treatment programs for individual patients and patient groups according to the principles and practices of speech therapy. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including evaluate and treat patients; maintain communication with doctors and other health personnel; and supervise volunteers and students. The Speech Language Pathologist will assist with education for the speech therapy staff, hospital staff, and community at large as needed. The Speech Language Pathologist will follow hospital and departmental policies and procedures. The Speech Language Pathologist follows hospital and departmental policies and procedures
Requirements:
Requires a Master’s or Doctoral degree in the area of speech language pathology or communication disorders from a program accredited by the Council for Academic Accreditation of the American Speech Language Hearing Association, or higher.
Kentucky State License or interim license as an Speech Language Pathologist required.
Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech Hearing Association or in the case of an interim license, is in their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) required.
BLS from American Heart Association (AHA) – required within 90 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in acute care, SNF, and/or outpatient experience preferred.
