About Our Family

We’re a busy, warm, and motivated household of three — two working parents and a bright, energetic preschool-aged son — based in the Cypress area. We’ve built a really full life here over the past several years, and we take a lot of pride in our home, our community, and the routines that help our family feel grounded. With our demanding jobs, our days start early and run late, and we’re ready for a little more ease and breathing room in the day-to-day. We’ve leaned a bit too hard on convenience food and delivery lately, and we’re excited to get back to home-cooked meals, a tidier and organized home, and more mental space to actually enjoy our downtime. Beyond the day-to-day, we're a family with lots of ideas, projects, events, and plans. We love hosting, organizing community events, tackling creative projects, improving our home, and dreaming up new ways to make life more fun and meaningful. We also have plans to grow our family so we expect life to get a lot busier! So we’re also looking for someone who is excited to grow with us as our household needs evolve.

Who You Are / What We're Looking For

We’re looking for a sharp, highly organized, flexible, energetic self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced household environment. You are a natural go-getter who knows how to prioritize, take initiative, and enjoy simply getting things done. You take pride in creating order, solving problems, and helping a busy household run smoothly. You enjoy working with kids and have relevant experience supporting young kids and family routines. You also enjoy meal planning, preparing healthy home-cooked meals, and trying new family-friendly recipes. Most importantly, we're looking for a trusted, reliable, partner — someone who treats our home with care, takes ownership of responsibilities, and becomes an essential part of helping our family thrive.

Proactive & Solution-Oriented: You are a proactive thinker who identifies problems early, communicates solutions and not just problems, makes thoughtful recommendations rather than waiting for instructions, can independently prioritize tasks and manage competing household needs.

Exceptionally Organized: Organization is your superpower. You have a natural gift for organization — you don't just tidy spaces, you build systems that are easy to maintain and work long term. You enjoy checklists, calendars, routines, labels and finding ways to make a household run more efficiently. You have strong attention to detail and take pride in keeping things decluttered, organized, stocked, and running smoothly. A significant portion of this role involves helping the family declutter.

Tech-Savvy & Resourceful: You are comfortable using technology to work smarter. Whether it's managing digital calendars, online ordering, AI tools, household management apps, or researching solutions, you're quick to learn and embrace new systems.A significant portion of this role involves helping the family declutter and sell household items. You should be very familiar with resale platforms, particularly Poshmark, Facebook Marketplace, eBay, and more. You should be comfortable photographing items, creating listings, researching pricing, managing listings, communicating in a timely fashion with buyers, coordinating pickups, shipping items, and helping turn household clutter into cash.

Kid-Friendly & Family-Focused: You have worked with young children before — maybe in a daycare, early education, or family assistant role — and you genuinely enjoy being around kids. You are capable of jumping into a game, helping with a learning activity, or supporting school-day routines when needed. You are the kind of person who can engage a preschooler in a counting game while also managing a grocery list and planning a dinner menu in your head.

Enjoys Cooking: You enjoy meal planning, grocery shopping, and preparing simple, healthy, family-friendly meals. You are comfortable trying new recipes, maintaining an organized kitchen, and helping the family eat well.

Project Execution-Focused: You are a natural executor who enjoys turning family ideas into action. Whether it's a holiday gathering, family celebration, neighborhood event, home organization project, seasonal decorating initiative, or household improvement project, – you enjoy creating plans, organizing details, researching options, coordinating vendors, managing timelines, and following through on projects from start to finish. You take pride in helping move ideas from concept to completion while continuing to handle the day-to-day responsibilities of our busy household.

The Right Fit

The person who will thrive in this role genuinely enjoys creating order, keeping a home running smoothly, and taking ownership of recurring responsibilities. You find satisfaction in maintaining systems, staying ahead of household needs, and ensuring that the countless details of daily life (laundry, cooking, errands, family logistics, child-related support, cleaning) are handled consistently and thoughtfully.

At the same time, you're someone who enjoys turning ideas into action. When you hear a vision, your first instinct is to think, 'How can we make that happen?' You are comfortable taking a rough idea, creating a plan, researching options, coordinating logistics, and seeing projects through to completion. Whether it's organizing a space, planning an event, coordinating vendors, selling items online, preparing for a holiday, or helping execute a new idea, you enjoy being the person behind the scenes who helps make things happen.

Essentially, you are excited for the long-term opportunity to operate the household behind the scenes, reducing the family’s mental load, executing projects, maintaining systems, and helping bring ideas to life.
