About Our Family
We're a family of four based in San Francisco's Inner Sunset neighborhood. Both parents work full-time in the startup world, which means our home runs best when someone is keeping the wheels turning behind the scenes. We have two energetic boys in school (ages: 4 & 7) - they're enthusiastic, playful, and always moving. Between school pickups, swim, soccer, karate, and weekend adventures on the water or at the farmers market, life is full and we love it that way.
Our days are full and dynamic, and we value a home environment that feels grounded, thoughtful, and well cared for. We use a shared Google Calendar to manage household logistics, and we believe in using and maintaining systems that actually work. We've had wonderful household support in the past and know firsthand how transformative the right person can be. We're looking for someone who brings that same level of ownership, experience, and genuine investment to our home. We love our household to feel calm, organized, and ready - and we want someone who takes pride in making that happen without being asked twice. We’re looking for someone to complement the daily rhythm of our home and support our day-to-day so that we can have more time as a family.
Who You Are / What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate is experienced, mature, and genuinely proactive - someone who notices what needs to happen before being asked and takes initiative with confidence. You’re a systems thinker who enjoys creating order in a busy family household, and you can step into a moving environment without needing everything spelled out for you. You’re tech-savvy and comfortable working with shared digital tools like Google Calendar, and willing to help maintain the systems that keep everyone on track.
Kind communication is your go-to while still being clear and direct. You ask great questions, and follow through reliably. You’re organized, detail-oriented, and able to balance the big picture with the small details that make daily life feel easier. You can prioritize in real time, pivot when plans change, and stay calm and capable when the day gets busy.
You’re completely at ease around active, high-energy kids and bring warmth, patience, and consistency in your interactions with them. Playful connection with kids is natural to you and you’re willing to get outside, play pretend and encourage their imagination. You enjoy being part of the rhythm of family life while also understanding where to step in, where to take ownership, and where to support from behind the scenes. Dependability and flexibility are something you pride yourself on and when the family needs you, you bring a grounded, can-do presence to the home.
You may also bring an eye for design, and can pitch in on light research tasks, sourcing camps and activities for the kids, comparing household products, or helping find thoughtful solutions for the home. Carrying yourself with professionalism, you take pride in your work, and genuinely enjoy supporting a family that values your contribution. The right person will feel invested in helping the household run smoothly and will find satisfaction in making things feel organized, calm, and well cared for.
