HealthPRO Pediatrics is seeking Physical Therapists (PTs) to join our growing team in Leonardtown, MD for the 2026–2027 school year, beginning August 26, 2026.
We have multiple in-person opportunities available, including both School-Based and Early Intervention settings. Available Opportunities
Full-Time | Early Intervention
Provide pediatric therapy services in the southern end of St. Mary's County
Support infants and young children through Early Intervention services
Partner with families and caregivers to support developmental outcomes
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of therapy professionals
Part-Time | School-Based
3 days per week
Provide in-person pediatric therapy services within local school settings
Support students in achieving developmental and educational goals
Collaborate with educators and school teams to support student success

Responsibilities
The physical therapist will provide services for the pediatric population age 0-21 with developmental, neurological, and medical based disorders in a school setting. This position performs highly responsible work that will promote quality patient care and efficiency. The physical therapist will also collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team including physicians, psychologists, therapists, BCBAs, school staff, and parents to provide holistic services. The physical therapist is responsible for planning and administering evaluations, treatment plans, consults, screenings, parent education and for promoting the overall health of the patient. In addition, this position requires flexibility with scheduled hours as the company continues to thrive and grow.
- Provides skilled physical therapy treatment plans in accordance with physician orders and by assessing and interpreting evaluations and test results of patients.
- Adheres to state requirements for supervision of PTAs to provide services with the highest care standards
- Assures continuation of therapeutic plan following discharge by designing home exercise programs; instructing patients, recommending and/or providing assistive equipment; recommending follow-up programs.
- Promptly and thoroughly documents and maintains clinical and administrative records regarding patient limitations/interventions, treatments, responses and progress to administered therapy as well as discharge summaries.
- Maintains patient records confidentially.
- Records treatment charges daily and completes documentation in accurate and timely manner.
- Complies with the applicable State Physical Therapy Practice Act, codes and regulations
Additional Responsibilities:
- Must be able to recognize and respond appropriately to urgent/emergent situations per protocols.
- Maintains clean work area, clean treatment rooms and requests needed supplies.
- Maintains professional appearance and personal conduct at all times.
- Complies with all company policies and procedures.
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with co-workers and other professionals as it relates to collaboration of care for the patient.
- Keeps regular clinic hours as approved by Manager.
- Directs all patient scheduling matters through the front desk coordinator.
- Attends meetings as requested.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Demonstrate knowledge of principles, techniques, materials and equipment in pediatric physical therapy.
- Ability to evaluate a patient’s physical therapy needs and communicate the patient’s needs to the legal guardian and/or appropriate parties involved in the patient’s care.
- Ability to communicate with a high degree of written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrate strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of CPT & ICD 10 coding procedures.
- Thorough knowledge of physical therapy principles and practices.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of computer programs (EMRs)

Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapy program
- Current State Physical Therapist license
- Current CPR certification
- Efficient problem-solving skills

Use of proper body mechanics and techniques for bearing weight.
Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
Walk through the department, office, and other locations as necessary.
Lift objects weighing 50-100 pounds or more.
Must be able to climb stairs, stoop, and reach when performing daily work.
Ability to assist and perform with patient transfers, (including but not limited to: stand pivot, two- person, sliding board, Hoyer lift, non-weight bearing) safely and effectively with or without mechanical devices.
- Must have manual dexterity to perform specific computer and electronic device functions for data
- Must have ability to read and comprehend written communication through computer, electronic devices, and paper
- Must have reliable transportation or be public transportation savvy and be willing and able to travel between different job sites
