About Our Family:
We are a lively, faith-based family of six with four kids who each bring their own personality, passion, and energy to the house. Our days are full: there are sports practices, school schedules, creative projects, and a household that never really stops moving. Both parents work full-time in professional roles and are out of the home most days, which means we need someone who can hold down the fort with confidence and care.
We love a healthy, whole-foods approach to eating, we believe in systems that actually work, and we appreciate a home that feels calm and ordered even when life is busy. Our kids are social, curious, and full of character. One child thrives with active engagement, structure, flexibility, and a calm presence. We are looking for someone who enjoys participating alongside children rather than simply supervising them. Our family is warm, direct, and values genuine connection. We're looking for someone who feels like a natural extension of our household, not a visitor in it.
Who We're Looking For
You are someone who walks into a busy home and immediately knows what needs doing --- without being asked. You notice the low paper towel roll, the backpack that isn't packed, and the lunchbox that needs finding before tomorrow morning. You take initiative on household tasks, but you are adaptable --- respecting the family's routines and making small adjustments rather than overhauling systems. Integrity is essential: you are someone who can be relied upon completely.
You have experience in a high-energy household with multiple children, and the volume and warmth of a busy family home energizes rather than overwhelms you. You are engaging with kids --- you'll shoot a basketball, build something imaginative, or just be present --- without ramping up the household's energy. You communicate well, and you take initiative to send a quick text update on what was accomplished each day. You are trustworthy, modest, and consistent. You don't need to share our faith, but you respect our values and the way we're raising our kids. Above all, you are someone we can count on---someone who shows up, follows through, and becomes a trusted part of our family's support system.
What Success Looks Like
- The home feels calmer and more organized.
- The children are cared for, engaged, and prepared for the next day.
- Weekly meal prep is completed.
- Household errands and recurring tasks are handled proactively.
- Parents have more time to focus on family rather than logistics
Key Responsibilities:
This role focuses on keeping the household running smoothly day to day, with a few core priorities that anchor the work. Other responsibilities support the overall flow of the home and are handled as time allows or on an as-needed basis. We care more about the right things getting done -- not checking all the boxes.
Weekly Priorities:
Childcare and After-School Support
School pickup and drop-off as needed
After-school supervision on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday afternoons
Backpack, clothing, and snack preparation
Kid-related errands, including timely prescription pickups
Manage school lunch prep: help kids pack the night before, track lunchboxes and ice packs
Meal Support
Weekly bulk cooking block of approximately 5 hours: preparing dinners and lunches for the full week for a family of six (family will provide meal plans and recipes)
Hand-washing good cookware
Prepping healthy snacks: cut fruit and vegetables, etc.
Kitchen clean-up and maintenance following cooking sessions
Household Organization & Maintenance
Daily resets and preparing the home before the cleaning team arrives (high priority)
Light tidying: dishes, surfaces, vacuuming high-traffic areas, kitchen counters
Creating and maintaining household organization systems (you're a builder, not just a maintainer)
Seasonal clothing, décor, and sports gear swaps
Donation coordination and drop-offs
Packing and unpacking for family travel
Replacing batteries, light bulbs, and smoke detectors
Reordering and replacing water filters for the fridge and reverse osmosis unit as needed
Outdoor upkeep: clearing yard toys before lawn service, sweeping the porch, and managing patio cushions seasonally
Inventory & Errands
Restocking pantry, fridge, and household supplies; maintaining a shared document to avoid double-ordering
Managing household orders and subscriptions (Amazon, Target, Costco)
Returns, dry cleaning, and gift shopping with direction provided
Mail and package handling: bringing in, opening, and sorting
Unpacking and putting away monthly Thrive Market and meat delivery orders; moving frozen meat to the fridge two days before cooking day
Those core daily and weekly responsibilities come first, but once handled, we welcome support in other areas based on time, energy, and household needs that week, including:
Deep Cleaning & Special Projects
- Quarterly deep resets of kids' rooms
- Basement reorganization approximately every two months (priority project)
- Refreshing the mudroom, entryway, and sports storage areas
- Coordinating deep cleaning tasks (fridge, oven, baseboards) in conjunction with the cleaning team
Laundry & Linen Care
- Managing kids on their designated laundry day, including individual sheets and pillowcases
- Ironing, steaming, and care for special garments
- Rotating family room blankets and parents' bedding and towels on a regular schedule
- Keeping the laundry area tidy and well-stocked
Vendor & Property Oversight
- If something needs repair, research options and present them to the family for the final decision
- Seasonal outdoor maintenance: back patio furniture, porch, and outdoor spaces
Administrative & Family Assistant Support
- Maintaining the shared family Google Calendar
- Updating the kitchen dry-erase calendar
- Scheduling kids' and parents' appointments (medical, personal, and other)
- Event and holiday prep on an as-needed basis
How to Apply:
Please submit:
- A short letter introducing yourself and explaining why you'd be a great fit.

This role requires a background check.
