About Our Family

This is a busy, warm household led by a working professional whose schedule includes frequent travel, including international trips throughout the year. The home has two friendly dogs and a small backyard chicken flock, creating a lively and welcoming environment. With a full schedule and lots of moving pieces, having a dependable person who can step in, take ownership of tasks, and help keep the home running smoothly is incredibly valuable.

This role is centered around making daily life easier through a mix of household support, family assistance, and organization. Responsibilities include helping with meal preparation, grocery coordination, light household upkeep, pet care, errands, and occasional support for elderly relatives who live nearby, including transportation to appointments and meal delivery. The goal is to have someone who can step in, take ownership of tasks, and provide thoughtful support where it is most needed.

The ideal person is reliable, proactive, and comfortable working independently. We are looking for someone who notices details, follows through, communicates well, and takes pride in doing quality work. A warm, calm presence is especially important when supporting elderly family members, and we value someone who is trustworthy, flexible, and willing to pitch in wherever needed.

Who You Are / What We're Looking For

  • Proactive and self-directed -- you see what needs to be done and do it without waiting to be asked.
  • Trustworthy and reliable -- you show up, follow through, and take your responsibilities seriously.
  • Phone-down and present -- you set your phone aside when working, especially around elderly relatives.
  • Comfortable around pets -- genuinely enjoy being around dogs and are at ease helping with basic animal care.
  • Cheerful but grounded -- you bring a calm, steady energy, particularly when supporting older adults.
  • A strong communicator -- responsive by text, sends a heads-up when arriving and leaving, and flags anything important without overcomplicating it.
  • Organized and detail-oriented -- able to manage a task list, maintain household systems, and bring experience with home organization projects such as closets, storage areas, and household systems, keeping everything running smoothly without hand-holding.
  • Confident in the kitchen -- comfortable preparing wholesome, nourishing meals and bringing your own ideas to the table.
  • Holds a clean driving record -- comfortable operating a family vehicle to transport elderly relatives to appointments safely.
  • Open to rolling up your sleeves -- no task is too small; you take pride in doing good work regardless of what it is.
