About Our Family

We are a large, lively, fun-loving family on beautiful Sanibel Island, Florida. Our home is full of energy — five school-age kids, a young dog, a bearded dragon, plus an extended family member (and their cat). There’s truly never a dull moment!

We’re an entrepreneurial household: creative and spontaneous, but also dedicated and driven. Our lives are always in motion, which means things can pile up. We love what we do, but in order to maintain it, we need some help managing the ever-growing lists. At the end of the day, what we want is help getting back to what matters most: being present with our kids.

We're looking for organizational support: creating flows, providing daily resets, tackling laundry, and some meal prep. We also need assistance with pet care, reliable help with driving/kid logistics, and occasional date-night coverage. We own a local business nearby, and there is opportunity to potentially flex into some assistance with this, but we are primarily focused on help with our household.

We love to travel — especially during the summers. We do not require anyone to travel with us for extended periods, but some shorter, occasional travel with us is up for discussion. Mostly, we want the peace of mind that comes from knowing our home is cared for and running smoothly during times we are away. We also own two out-of-state properties and could benefit from remote management support for them. There’s lots of room for growth over time for someone who enjoys taking ownership and building systems.

Who You Are / What We're Looking For

The right person for this role is genuinely organized, highly adaptable, and energized by variety. You are comfortable working independently, communicating clearly, and taking ownership of your responsibilities. You are reliable and consistent, but you also understand that this family moves dynamically and plans can shift — you roll with it gracefully. You love being around kids and animals and want to support a family in a meaningful, long-term way. You can see the big picture, but never miss the details.

We appreciate professionalism, but value flexibility over everything else. It is important that the person in this role is someone who understands our fast-paced lifestyle and can pivot easily. We are looking for someone who can help us establish and maintain household systems, keep things organized, and contribute to all the behind-the-scenes things that keep a home running smoothly. You understand that this may change frequently, and you go with the flow. You have a growth-mindset, and are collaborative by nature. You are not afraid to try something new, make a suggestion, or apply feedback.

The ideal candidate will have a real project manager mentality: someone who is highly skilled in coordinating large-scale projects, but is also comfortable taking on the little tasks and preempting needs. Although your day-to-day work will primarily involve our Sanibel household, this role has the potential to expand to assisting with our local business, remotely coordinating our out-of-state properties, or even traveling with us. We view this role as an opportunity that will develop and shift over time. If this excites you, we’d love to hear from you!
