About Our Family

We are a busy, active family of three living in Pleasantville, NY, with two cats. Both parents hold demanding full-time jobs and commute into the city most weekdays, which means mornings are fast-moving and afternoons are a sprint to the finish. The late afternoon and evening window is where our household most needs support, and we're looking for someone who can step in and make that stretch feel manageable instead of chaotic.

Our toddler is full of personality, curiosity, and energy, and thrives in an imaginative, screen-free environment. We love being outside and keeping weekends casual — we run hard during the week and value our downtime together. Having moved into our home not long ago, we're open-minded, collaborative, and ready to hand over the reins to someone who genuinely cares about building a well-functioning home with us.

Who You Are / What We're Looking For

You're the right person for this role if you walk into a room, take stock, and know what needs to happen next without being asked. You approach a new home the way a project manager approaches a new assignment — you make a plan and execute it, and you get genuinely excited about building systems and documenting where things live.

You are warm, kind, and energetic, with a genuine love for this type of work and the enthusiasm to engage an emotive, imaginative toddler. Three things matter most in this role, and we need someone who treats all three as non-negotiable: being reliably at daycare pickup without fail, bringing real care and consistency to daily meal prep, and closing out each day with a genuine organizational reset so the house feels calm and ready by morning.

You are comfortable enforcing gentle boundaries with young children and understand the value of imagination-first, screen-free play. You are efficient, reliable, and trustworthy, with a low tolerance for wasted time and a high standard for follow-through. You are a self-starter who reads the room and knows when to take initiative and when to check in. If you've supported a busy household before and loved it, this role was made for you.
