About Our Clinic
For more than 30 years, Genoa Animal Hospital has provided compassionate, comprehensive veterinary care to pets and families throughout Genoa and the surrounding communities. Our full-service small animal hospital combines the personal relationships and welcoming atmosphere of a community practice with modern medicine, a collaborative team, and the resources of a larger veterinary network.
We are currently looking for a part-time veterinarian who wants a flexible schedule, a robust caseload, and the support needed to practice high-quality medicine without sacrificing work-life balance.

Clinic Snapshot
Practice type: Small animal general practice with same-day urgent care
Schedule: Part-time, approximately two to three days per week, with flexibility based on the doctor’s availability and scheduling preferences
Avg. daily patient volume: Approximately 13–20 patients per day, depending on the veterinarian’s preferred pace and schedule.
Support staff ratio: Approximately three support team members per veterinarian
Case mix: Preventive and wellness care, sick-patient appointments, urgent care, dentistry, diagnostics, soft-tissue surgery, spay and neuter procedures, and emergency stabilization during regular business hours
Technology & equipment: State-of-the-art equipment supporting diagnostics, dentistry, surgery, advanced laser therapy, and same-day urgent care.
Team culture: Compassionate, community-focused, and collaborative, with an emphasis on quality medicine, client education, teamwork, and long-term relationships with local families

You are a veterinarian who is:

An interest in surgery, dentistry, urgent care, or professional leadership would be welcomed but is not required. Experienced veterinarians and newer graduates who value collaboration and continued development are encouraged to apply.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine or Veterinary Medical Doctor degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university
- Current or eligible veterinary license in the State of Illinois
- Current or eligible DEA registration, when applicable
- Compassionate, client-centered approach to veterinary medicine
- Strong communication and client-education skills
- Commitment to maintaining high medical and ethical standards
