Job Description

Overview


The Wellness Specialist coordinates and plans screenings and     educational programs for clients, evaluates the effectiveness of programming, and manages the office with regards to supplies, billing and expenses.


 


Ability to perform various clinical tests including phlebotomy, blood pressure/pulse, spirometry, vision testing, hearing testing, height and weight measurements, body composition analysis preferred.


Qualifications


Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Experience Required


Education: High School/GED required.


 


Experience: Previous experience in health promotion and wellness preferred.  Competency in computer skills is a requirement.  Must have a current valid Alabama\u2019s driver\u2019s license and be currently certified in CPR. Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills.


 


Additional Skills/Abilities:  Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a fast paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly.  Must be able to use computer, fax machine and copy machine. Must be detail oriented and work well in a team environment.
